Thankful Thursdays: The Knowing

I touched on the subject of “gratitude” in my Wise Wednesday post yesterday.

I spoke about the importance of being thankful for everything you have in your life as that’s how you attract more of what you like and want.

Have you noticed that if you wake up on the wrong side of the bed everything will annoy you on that day and I mean EVERYTHING. From your favourite top being in the wash to someone accidentally bumping in to you. Where as if you wake up happy you usually take these things with a pinch of salt and they generally don’t get to you as much and you will find a solution to your problems without working yourself up.

That’s why it’s a good idea to start your day off with being thankful/grateful. Give yourself five minutes when you wake up (pre social media and filling your mind up with other people’s lives) to put your mindset in to positive action by meditating on what you are thankful for in that present moment. If you can’t think of anything make a list of everything you are going to be thankful for on that day. Such as a colleague taking on that project you didn’t want or someone smiling at you on the train to work. A few minutes of real or fantasy gratitude might be all you need to put a spring in your step each morning.

What am I grateful for on this cold November morning?

Waking up before my alarm went off and getting in the shower before anyone else in the house. I love being the first one up in the mornings as, there’s a sense of calm and peacefulness and it’s only my energy stirring around. I am also grateful for my morning cup of tea, that first sip is the best!

What is my fantasy mind grateful for?

I am grateful to that person who is going to hold a door open for me. I am grateful for the £1 coin I am going to find on the floor. I am grateful for this blog post being shared. I am grateful for the hot chocolate someone is going to buy me today and I am grateful for the belly laugh I am going to have over the silliest conversation.

What are you thankful for today?
